Recover your brilliant post which the website just lost.

Postby Bruce Fraser » Sat Dec 26, 2009 5:15 pm

From time to time on the For-Free-on-Internet.com website, I submit a comment, only to be faced with an error message, and the whole thing is lost. If it was just a few words, no problem. But if I took the time to write a detailed and thoughtful comment, this is very frustrating.

The solution: Lazarus!
Lazarus is an add-on for Firefox. It captures and remembers everything you type into a webpage. So if you lose that text, you can easily recover it. For more information, and to download, go to: http://lazarus.interclue.com.

Good post. I "copy" any post I make to 4free before clicking submit. After I get the error message, I paste the post in again and submit. It usually works on the second try. I will give the add-on a try.

That happens all most every time to me. I have taken to copying everything befor I post it and when it fails I simply go back A page and past it.

If you use chrome browser than you don't have to copy-paste thing... just click go back a page and what you wrote will still remains there.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I keep forgetting to copy my posts before submitting. I've entered some very large posts, that on rewrite were just a couple of lines.

Wow, and I thought I was the only one having problems with posting. I thought maybe it was my computer. Aside from copying to notepad and then trying again, I wonder if there is any software similar to Lazarus but for IE8? Most of the time when I run into problems with posting, I get a wordpress error.

@ northernexposure
Go to tools => internet options => content => AutoComplete => check 'forms'. After you submit a post and facing an error just go back page and you'll find what you wrote before is still there. At least that worked with IE7. The advantage is you don't have to copy-paste thing with this method. CMIIW cos I only use this once in IE7 (mine is chrome).
